The “view of impermanence” is the reason why I keep longing to photograph Kyoto. Kyoto's culture, steeped in history, and the rich natural environment that surrounds the city have created a harmony and tension that fascinates people. This book contains 99 photographs taken over a year and a half in the central and surrounding areas of Kyoto.
