KAAT EXHIBITION" is KAAT's original project series that develops new expression through the fusion of the theater space of KAAT Kanagawa Arts Theatre and contemporary art. The exhibition will feature new works by Masashi Asada, a photographer who worked with the people of Kanagawa on the theme of "I / Our Now.

Yokohama was one of the birthplaces of photography in Japan from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji era (1868-1912), and is also the birthplace of "Yokohama Photography," a style of coloring black-and-white photographs. In those days, photographs were extremely valuable. Today, with the development of technology, anyone can easily take photographs, but Asada continues to convey the importance of putting one's heart and soul into a single photograph through his signature series of family portraits.

In this exhibition, Asada's new attempt to bring the expression of Yokohama photography into the present, he will vividly capture the existence of photography, which has transformed over time from the past to the present, and the "present" of the people living in Kanagawa Prefecture.
