Street Rambler” is a collection of photographs by Takehiko Nakafuji, which he has been showing continuously since 2003 at Gallery Niepce and other galleries, compiled nearly 10 years after its first release. Composed of street snapshots from cities around the world, including New York, Havana, Moscow, Shanghai, Berlin, Paris, and Tokyo. All in black and white. Offset triple-tone printing. The photographer paid close attention to the tightness of the blacks. Winner of the 24th (2015) Tadahiko Hayashi Award.
Takehiko Nakafuji Born in Tokyo in 1970. Photographer. Graduated from Waseda University, Faculty of Letters I. Graduated from Tokyo Visual Arts, Department of Photography, and was a part-time lecturer at Tokyo Visual Arts for five years from 2000. He has been showing works mainly of monochrome urban snapshots. In addition to Japan, in recent years he has traveled around the world, focusing on former socialist countries such as Eastern Europe, Russia, and Cuba.
